A downloadable UTAU Library for Windows, macOS, and Linux

This project is an attempt to update the library packaged with UTAU. Defoko's voice has evolved a great deal since her first voicebank was released, and it's high time that she get a new voicebank (or rather, voicebanks) to show off her current range. This collection has a total of 10 voicebanks for Defoko, also called "Expressions", that can be used alone or together. Each Expression is sampled from a different "phont" found in AquesTalk, the software that Defoko is sampled from, and allows for a wider range of Defoko usages!

This project is still in development. This page is also,,, unfinished so like,,, shhh don't ask about it yet

About Defoko's Expressions:

The First Three Expressions in this collection are focused on recreating different parts of Defoko's Standard Tone

The Multipitch Expression is sampled from AquesTalk10-F1 and has five pitches (D3, A3, D4, A4, and D5) to cover her reasonable range. It is a relatively soft bank and has extraordinary clarity. This bank is the recommended default bank when using the combined set. This bank has an appropriately configured prefix map, so suitable pitches will be automatically selected. Individual pitches can be activated by using their pitch marker as a suffix. (Not Yet Available for Release)

The Original Expression is sampled from AquesTalk-F1 and is an attempt to faithfully recreate the tone of the library packaged with utau. This bank is bipitch, recorded at G3 and C4. This bank has a configured prefixmap, but individual pitches can be activated using the suffix "H" or "L", for High or Low, Respectively

The Natural Expresion is sampled from AquesTalk2-F1b and is a good middle ground between other versions of the F1 phont across Aquest softwares. This serves as a decent core voicebank for the AQTK2 Expressions. This bank can be activated using the suffix "N" (Not Yet Available for Release)

The Remaining Expressions are focused on expanding Defoko's Tonal Range

The Clear Expression is sampled from AquesTalk2-F1c and serves as a power bank in the collect. This bank is stronger than most other defoko libraries and if you're looking for a powerful Defoko, this might just be your one stop shop! This bank can be activated using the suffix "C" (Not Yet Available for Release)

The Soft Expression is sampled from AquesTalk2-Defo and serves as the soft bank of the collection. This phont was built as a talk library for Defoko and it occasionally struggles with looping noise. This bank can be activated using the suffix "S" (Not Yet Available for Release)

The Bright Expression is sampled from AquesTalk2-F4 and serves as a sweet bank in the collection. It adds a bit of cuteness and body to the vocal, making it ideal for things like J-pop and it is an excellent choice for a powerful vocal when the clear expression isn't quite what you need. This bank can be activated using the suffix "B" (Not Yet Available for Release)

The Mellow Expression is sampled from AquesTalk2-RM and serves as a dark bank in the collection. This bank can counteract some of the more nasal aspects of other banks. This bank can be activated using the suffix "M" (Not Yet Available for Release)

The Whisper Expression is sampled from AquesTalk2-Huskey and is a voiceless bank. It is the most experimental of all the expressions included in this collection but it has an interesting tone and it can sound surprisingly nice. This bank can be activated using the suffix "W" (Not Yet Available for Release)

All VCV Expressions contain the following features:
Kana VCV support
Kana and Romaji CV support
Endbreaths [a R]
Natural Ends [a -]
Glotal Stops [a ']

The Collection also includes two other voicebanks sampled from other AQUEST programs that didn't tall under the AquesTalk line.

Defoko Pico is sampled from AQUEST's Pico software, a low resource TTS engine designed for microprocessors. This bank contains Vowel-Vowel Transitions. This bank can be activated using the suffix "P" and either Kana or Romaji CV aliases (Not Yet Available for Release)

Defoko Tone is sampled from AQUEST's AquesTone software, a singing synthesizer by AQUEST. This Library is designed to mimic the original intentions of AquesTone and can be used in real time for the Program Alter/Ego by Plogue. This Library also extends the functionality of the original AquesTone voice by adding an expression slider to switch between a softer tone and a stronger tone, as well as adding support for English or Japanese input. Some supplementary UI content is available for this library but it is not yet ready for release. This Library is not compatible with UTAU
